With many phone companies, "unlimited" basically means you have to abide by their fair usage policy. I have used a couple of others but one is not around anymore and the other one i got bored with it because it was for another part of the country. I know they can be bad when people abuse them, but for someone who does not get out a lot and does not have a lot of social interaction I think they are ok.They just should never replace socializing with people face to face. It was a chat line formally known as talk shop back in the day.
Free phone chat line are there in different locations,if you are from india then there is glbal-chat for free and in chicago there is a Chicagopartylines ,1005 free phone chat for adults .
Anyone can enjoy free chat over chicago and can chat with there local singles, it is a 100% free and secure chatline.
Chat and IM with someone in your area, or you can talk to lots of singles at once in our chat room forum, it's better than a regular chat line.
I got hooked up with my telespace, and am amazed to find out how many chat lines there are. I'm surprised the phone companies haven't limited number of calls and minutes on those things. I like the groups and talking to individuals on telespace; the main board is too rough for me. The chat lines can be extremely addicting, just like anything else.
But honestly, I'd choose dinner over a chat line any day! Back when I first started calling them, the primary means for voice chatting to someone was a telephone.
Now, with social networking, Skype, and the many apps out there that allow us to make free or cheap calls, I wonder if people still use the chat lines.I have no intentions of creating accounts on any of them to find out i am sure they are not as popular as they were but i know they are still being used.Lol I can say that from personal experience, although now there is only one that I check on occasionally.Telespace was one I never really got hooked on though; I continuously forgot to check my box, and after having 2 or 3 of them removed due to not logging in for months, I decided not to create another one. But it was mostly a voice-mail system, you couldn't live chat with people. Some phone companies actually did prevent people from calling specific chat lines, but I don't know if that's a problem now. That's the closest thing to a chat line I've ever done.I know it was an issue several years ago, and I'm sure it's because of the people who literally spend hours on end logged in. I used Tell Me, but never any of the extensions on it. There a is another line i check sometimes but mytelespace i go on there everyday.
